The Manhattan author, restaurateur, and cancer prevention advocate holds forth on designer slingbacks and swinging dicks. Don’t hold back, Marisa, we love you.

The author of “Cancer Vixen: A True Story,” Marisa Acocella Marchetto has her hands full, helping to man she and her husband Silvano Marchetto’s's A-list Italian eateries-including Da Silvano, Da Silvano Bistecca, and Scuderia (co-owned by daughter Leyla)–while helping to provide with her Cancer Vixen Fund free health insurance and mammograms for women battling cancer. Marchetto, a stylish, garrulous, and well-traveled gal about town, is currently working on a graphic novel to be published by Knopf next year. And her illustrated “Cancer Vixen” is being developed for the movies, by Mandalay Visions, with Cate Blanchett to star. She is a cartoonist contributor to The New Yorker and Glamour, to boot. All this, as you will read below, builds a fine appetite, for both shoes and good food.

ROOM 100: Name your poison, and why?
MARISA MARCHETTO: Shoes, my biggest weakness. A pump is like a penis: the bigger the better, the more intimating. It’s a virtual life force on your feet that says, “I will not be ignored. I am here, deal with me.” I love walking on two big swinging dicks.

What makes you happier than anything?
Love. And being in a happy marriage.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?
Saying a pump is like a penis.

What’s your “stripper’s name”? Take the name of your first pet as your first name and your first street name as your last?
“Precious Ragland.”

Describe what your “last meal” would consist of, from appetizer to dessert, and drink of choice.
START: Some cheeses like a nice Burrata, Pecorino and a Gorgonzola Dolce.
PASTA 1: Spaghetti Puttanesca at Da Silvano – the original and the best.
PASTA 2: Taglierini with White Truffles from Alba.
MAIN COURSE: Bistecca Fiorentina.
DESSERT: The fresh sheep’s butter made that day on the crusty bread baked on that day that we bought at that farm, and that fabulous Portugese wine we had with it while I was on book tour in Portugal. Why not have a fat-and-carb fest if it’s your last supper, dammit?

If you could purchase anything today, what would it be? Describe.
Tolerance for all – that would certainly buy time for Planet Earth.

Where does your ultimate road trip take you?
Back to that farm in Portugal with my husband Silvano, eating the fresh sheep’s butter made that day on the crusty bread baked on that day that we bought at that farm, and that fabulous Portugese wine we had with it while I was on book tour in Portugal.

If you knew that the world was ending soon, where would you go, and what cherished item would you take with you?
