Auction and exhibition showcase ‘Sir’ Richard’s works.
Mark your calendars for November 20 when Christie’s Paris auctions off 60 works by the great photographer Richard Avedon. It’s the largest to come to market, ever. Avedon’s philanthropic-at least here-foundation is expecting figures in the half-million range for many of the iconic images, including those he shot of Twiggy, natch. Meanwhile, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston is currently exhibiting “Avedon Fashion: 1944-2000” (through Jan. 17), a mass retrospective.
