Oliver Peoples re-issues Gregory Peck’s specs from ‘Mockingbird’!
To celebrate the upcoming 50th anniversary of To Kill A Mockingbird’s big-screen adaptation, eyewear masters Oliver Peoples are coming out with a new line of specs modeled on the ones worn to such great effect in the film by Gregory Peck. Produced in collaboration with Peck’s son Anthony, the classic frames are of course available in time-honored tortoiseshell, as sported by Atticus Finch himself, as well as a few other subtle but stylish hues. Anthony provided his father’s actual pair as the model, so their authenticity is guaranteed. They run $315 a pop, but Miss Nelle Harper Lee might be proud – proceeds are going to the Los Angeles Public Library so people can remember it all started with a little ol’ novel. Purchase them here.
