Thompson Beverly Hills debuts L.A.’s first Camilo Pardo Solo Art Show

As then-chief designer of Ford Motor Company’s Living Legends Studio, pop artist Camilo Pardo led the creative evolution of the timeless GT40. In 2005, the iconic super car had its second close-up.

Fewer than 5,000 of the limited-edition classic cars that were produced were nabbed up by the likes of Kid Rock, John Mayer, Herbie Hancock, and Jay Leno. They continue to be coveted collector’s items of the music world-and-Hollywood elite.

An internationally recognized designer and silk-screen artist, Pardo will be unveiling for the first time on the West Coast his auto-inspired canvases at the Thompson Beverly Hills Hotel next Saturday, September 17 (from 8PM-11PM).

Held poolside-and-barside at the chic-and-breezy Thompson Beverly Hills Rooftop –the location of memorable “Entourage” scenes–this one-night-only exhibit will be accented by the perfect backdrop for this revved-up show.

Partial proceeds of all artwork sold will go directly to The Carroll Shelby Foundation.

Reads the press release: “Camilo’s artwork is best described as a fusion of pop, abstract and industrial rendering traditions, frequently incorporating familiar brands and logos. Most  recently his artwork was highlighted in the June issue of Road & Track and on Forbes’ website and blog. As an accomplished artist, Pardo’s work has been featured in galleries and shows worldwide, ranging from the walls of the Detroit Institute of Arts to the stages of
the Paris Motor Show.”

The Carroll Shelby Foundation provides financial support for children and medical professionals to help overcome life-threatening health
issues.
