What started as a whim has now become a Toronto tradition. The idea was simple enough, gather Toronto’s finest chefs and let them cook with Cheese Boutique ingredients and pair those dishes with wine. The Festival of Chefs provides a face to face channel of communication between the chef and the patron. The foodie community mixes and mingles in an interactive environment where learning techniques can be observed first-hand each weekend. After watching how dishes are assembled, the audience is invited to sample the final product.
A sommelier pairs wine to compliment each dish.
The annual selection process begins in January with the gathering of an in-house committee. Criteria for selections are: achievements, critical acclaim, style of cuisine, experience, potential and popular demand. Every year the Festival also features a Chef’s Table at which special guests act as ambassadors for our customers. The Festival is a celebration of culinary excellence, of passion, fine ingredients and sharing knowledge.
