Some of the best summer shows happen at Hudson River Park as part of the River Rocks series. Last year, it brought us Metronomy, Tune Yards, and Austra. So we had pretty big expectations for this year’s shows, and we’re happy to say that our expectations have been met. Wild Nothing brings you the nostalgic love you yearn for with synthy pop sounds and a dreamy, wistful sound. Crowd favorite Grimes also performs in what promises to be an ethereal mix of performance art, video, and musical sound. Finally, DIIV — brainchild of Z. Cole Smith of Beach Fossils — takes the stage with raw and edgy sounds reminiscent of late-’80s Seattle. The best part is that it’s totally free.
