The great ‘60s street-style photographer’s work showcased in the new William Klein: ABC book.
This book is beautiful and gritty and sexy. A visual survey of William Klein’s career–with images shot in New York, Rome, Moscow, Tokyo, and Paris–there’s 196 pages of imagery, and it’s the first comprehensive book on his work published in the U.S. in two decades.
We need Klein (and Avedon and Penn and Robert Frank) to remind today’s slacker-photographers of how it is done. Klein is alive and kicking in London. The hardback book is published by Abrams. Just out.
