Best place in the city to drink coffee or tea and people watch?
In the summertime, Trinity Bellwoods Park is the best place to ogle cute boys with frisbees, stylish girls peddling flower crowns and cool kids trying to sneak beer into their picnics. The city also has tons of indie coffee bars like Dark Horse,The Mascot, Ezra’s Pound and White Squirrel.
Favorite theater or cinema?
TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) Bell Lightbox has really upped the indie and foreign film ante since opening.
Best places to browse magazines and books?
Type Books always has such a pleasant vibe in addition to a great cookbook section. I also love BMV Books in the Annex for cheap used book deals and late night browsing.
Top three favorite stores in the city?
Toronto is a vintage Mecca. Kealan Anne Sullivan is the city’s vintage doyenne and her two stores, 69 Vintage and V, are the best. Chosen Vintage is also one of my favorites, as I’ve gotten many of my best pieces there.
