Going through several temporary iterations throughout the year, creative concept shop Story rings in the end of 2013 with its final theme: Home for the Holidays. Falling under that umbrella of comfort, warmth, and tradition are a range of hand-picked items for every room of the house, and mood to strike up during the holiday season. For the bar, there’s Brooklyn-based Hella Bitter’s Salt and Pepper Pack, Teroforma engraved Icon Whiskey Stones, and Neighborwhoods wooden coasters, etched with different neighborhood maps. For decking the walls, Story has on hand an exclusive US run of the Iconic TV collection of digital prints from designer Albert Exergian of the Paris-based Image Republic gallery.
The list goes on, from artisan candles by Illume and Rosy Rings, leather bags by Between Wind and Water and season-perfect sparklers and surprise balls from Tops Malibu. Located on 10th Avenue at 19th Street, just south of Cookshop, Story makes for a perfect post-brunch, shopping outing on a winter afternoon in Chelsea.
