Thompson Hotels London Influencers X Malika Dalamal

Influencers

She writes! She travels! She’s stunning! Safe to assume that fashion and lifestyle editor editor Malika Dalamal knows a trendy spot from a hidden gem – and has an eye for both.

Lucky for us, she was willing to share the view. Take a look at her London musts.

How long have you called London home and what part?

I was born here so aside from a few years in boarding school and university in the States, London has really been home for over 35 years. I grew up in St. John’s Wood and now live in Notting Hill.

“I know I’m missing London when….”

It doesn’t take much for me to miss London. I’m always happy to come home.

What’s your local exercise of choice?

Walking: Hyde Park walking my dog.

Workout: Lomax - The pay-as-you-go gym on Fulham Road where they offer the best spinning classes.

Last-minute cute top / dress / style fix of any kind.

Cotton lace dress or top by Dolce Vita.

People-watching spot of choice?

Westbourne Grove/Portobello - You find all sorts wondering around at the weekend.

A snack?

Fresh pressed juice from Canyon Juicery.

A “Nowhere but in London” experience?

The view from the Shard – it’s amazing to see all the modern high-rise buildings next to the historical landmarks like St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London. You can really see how the landscape of London is changing from up there.

Let’s have some fun. Sell us on Belgraves.

I always recommend anyone coming into London to stay at The Belgraves because the service is personal, the layout is intimate and it feels more like staying at a friend’s (very big) house rather than a touristy hotel.

Springtime in London means…

Cherry blossoms, and Londoner’s smiling at each other.
