Looking Good, Toronto

A Montreal Style Destination hits The Megacity
Montreal-based designers Byron and Dexter Peart launched head-turning travel accessories label Want Les Essentiels de la Vie in 2006 and the global fashion scene has never looked better.
This month, they debut WANT Apothecary Toronto — a product-focused Rosedale shopping stop that’s as gorgeous as the products you’ll find inside. Between walk-throughs and finishing touches, we grabbed a few minutes to chat neighborhood picks, favorite local shop keeps, and more.

Farrow & Ball – This is the best place on Yonge for color inspiration, they are also the creators of our signature WANT Apothecary paint color ‘Card Room Green, Number 79’.Parterre Flowers – They have a great vision and understanding of anything botanical, they supply our store each week with fresh flowers and potted plants.

Greenhouse Juice Co. – When in need of a quick energy boost, we go around the corner to the Greenhouse Juice Co. All of their juices are made from raw, fresh, organic ingredients!

Advice from a Caterpillar – With 2 little girls, this place is a wonderland for them to explore and play! It is also a great place to get unique gift suggestions.

The Black Camel – They have the most amazing sandwiches in the city, our favorite sandwich is the Camel Club.Terroni – This is THE place to go for Italian comfort food. They have the finest rooftop terrace in Canada and the best pizza, the Margherita is our favorite.

Klaus – Our dear friend’s store, although not in Rosedale, is the furniture destination in Toronto. A lot of the furniture that went into creating the atmosphere and aesthetic of the WANT Apothecary is from Klaus.
