Chicago stylist Hanna Lee gets paid to outfit Chicago ladies-in-the-know for a living. She also happens to be a bonafide clotheshorse. Here’s where she stocks her closet, and the must-hit snack and sweets stops that keep her fueled along the way.
Its sexy interior [and exposed brick layout] is enough reason to pop in. Don’t be intimidated by the higher-priced wardrobe, they have amazing jewelry at fabulous price points: super luxe-looking without breaking the bank.
From classic brands like Ray Ban, Hudson AG and more unique brands like Cushnie et Ochs, it’s a very well curated collection! They carry men’s clothing too so you can bring your man along!
Their collection of dresses (and shoes and belts, too) is right on! Well, I guess I love everything here! Their dresses range from “hot date night” to casual brunch appropriate. The sale section is killer too: you can find really great price points at the end of seasons. I’ve picked up one of my favorite neutral jackets for a client here for under $150.00.
This is a must-stop for me along the Southport stroll, especially after shopping. Walking in alone makes me so happy. Between the iced rhubarb parfait on a hot summer day, and the cinnamon rooibos chai (both non-caffeinated) I can’t get enough! It’s always the perfect pick-me-up.
Supporting local designers is important to me and I love Michelle Starbuck’s jewelry. From my current favorite earrings (they feel like air) to fabulous stackable gold bracelets unique in design, it’s worth the stop just to see her work but the store is filled with goodies from local designers.
Nothing short of spectacular located in the 900 N. Michigan Ave shops building. Her decor (lots of gold and ghost) is equally as luxe as the brand itself. I really love the luxe seen throughout her brand; it’s totally in the details from her hangers to the ribbon she ties her packages with. Her work is absolutely stunning and the attention to detail is impeccable. (The beadwork is simply extraordinary!) She’s also a local designer so that’s an extra bonus!
Bongo Room’s outdoor patio in Andersonvlle is so pretty, it’s tucked away and somehow I feel like I’m on vacation when I’m there. While I am not a big pancake for breakfast fan; I consider their pancakes a dessert. We’ll always just get one for the table and they are seriously so delicious, my favorite is the pumpkin cinnamon swirl. (You can just order one-which is plenty for a table of four!) And their black raspberry and grapefruit mimosa’s are delicious on a hot summer summer day.
With one of my Yves Saint Laurent quotes on the wall, and the fact that the owners are sisters, there’s nothing not to love!I finally found someone that could give my thick-but-super-fine hair a perfect voluminous blow out! Whether you just need a blow out or you want to get ready hair and makeup done for your bachelorette party (they have a cute side room for small groups) this place is so much fun.
We recently saw comedian Tig Natora here, and it was brilliant. (I was literally crying I was laughing so hard. I love nights like that.) And the theatre? (I’m embarrassed to say I hadn’t noted it before, but it’s on my must-do list now. Seats were comfy, drinks were available without long lines, and the show itself was amazing. It’s been one of my favorite nights (ever!) in Chicago.
