Welcome to Miami

Happenings

Every city has a flavor, and if that flavor fits the Thompson Hotels feel of lifestyle and sophistication, we have to be a part of it. We are thrilled to announce the opening of our newest hotel, Thompson Miami Beach.

With the perfect combination of contemporary art, impeccable style, cutting edge music, and unmatched cuisine, the decision to open our doors in Miami Beach is very exciting.

Art Basel Miami Beach, Ultra Music Festival, South Beach Wine & Food Festival and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Swim are events that attract worldwide travelers seeking culture and adventure; Miami’s gorgeous weather and Miami Beach’s views are just a couple of reasons that everyone continues to return. Thompson Miami Beach’s beachfront location will offer the timeless experience that each of our other Thompson locations offers. The original art deco features and 1950s architecture was preserved, as globally revered designer, Martin Brudnizki, collaborated with Kobi Karp Architects to transform the existing space into Thompson Miami Beach. The hotel will offer two restaurants, two pools, a spa, a fitness center, 24-hour in-room dining, gardens, and lounges with ocean views.

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the Thompson Miami Beach experience will be the presence of Chef Michelle Bernstein. Her accolades include the James Beard Award and appearances on Top Chef, Iron Chef America, and The Today Show. Known for incorporating her Miami roots into her Latin-style cuisine, Bernstein’s restaurant, Seagrape, will serve classic brasserie, focusing on local ingredients from land and sea.

Hopefully you’re as excited as we are about all of the above. We look forward to opening our doors just in time for Art Basel Miami Beach in December.
