Bass + Gold equals a can’t-lose art show
Diamonds may be the best friend to some girls, but Bass Museum of Art’s new GOLD exhibit is worlds above semi-precious. The notable moments and hidden-gem art references are too dazzling to count. Among them, an immortalized Marilyn Monroe, one of Andy Warhol’s most iconic works, and elaborately entombed Egyptian pharaohs.
One more selling point? A gilded-themed live music set in the main hall to hammer it all home (and get the party started each Friday evening throughout the show. Take your penchant for polish in a cultural direction, and take advantage of the museum’s installation running through January 15th, 2015.
It’s almost too much. And we can’t get enough.
