A culinary experience for every taste
There’ll be some added sizzle in Miami when the South Beach Food and Wine Festival takes over the streets February 19th – 22nd. Events will take place all over the area–such as morning yoga with a twist called Buddhas and Bellinis (it’s as cheeky as it sounds), kooky cocktail classes, and elaborate tasting dinners at Miami’s hottest restaurants.
The festivities will culminate in the Whole Foods Grand Market Tasting Village Saturday February 21st, an all-inclusive food extravaganza for $225—the champagne will flow while chefs from the Food Network host demonstrations and cook offs. In other exclusive tents DJs will play relaxing beats while you taste dishes from Miami’s best restaurants, and more. Look out for young rising-star chefs like James Beard nominee Giorgio Rapicavoli, who will be showing off his skills for your enjoyment.
Thompson Miami Beach will be hosting the sold-out event “A League of Their Own“, featuring great women chefs and great food. Miami’s culinary sweetheart and James Beard Award-winning Chef Michelle Bernstein will be showcasing her new Seagrape Floridian brassiere — with friends Gabrielle Hamilton, the James Beard Award-winning chef and owner of Prune, the perennially packed restaurant on the Lower East Side, and author of the bestselling memoir Blood, Bones, and Butter, and multi-award winning chef and author Elizabeth Falkner for an afternoon of lunch and a flow of wine and spirits.
Executive Pastry Chef Max Santiago from Thompson Miami Beach’ will be participating in “Death by Chocolate: A Dessert Party” hosted by Dominique Ansel on Saturday, February 21st, an event filled with the most delicious desserts imaginable.
