A beach made of ice “warms” Toronto
Who wants to see ice craftsmen and women taking chainsaws to epic ice blocks? We do!
Glistening palm trees, surfers in barrel waves, tropical flowers, dolphins, a smiling sun on the beach and a tikki hut, all crafted from an astonishing 35,000 pounds of ice will sparkle for two magical days (or until they melt) when the Heat Wave Ice Exhibit brings the tropics to Toronto’s Yorkville neighborhood for Icefest 2015 from February 21st – 22nd.
There will be an Ice Carving Competition in the Village of Yorkville Park (Cumberland & Bellair Streets) and you can cast your vote for the People’s Choice Sculpture. Check out more about the unique event here.
