A modern and lively take on the age-old form of expression
Does a poetry-texting workshop, a night of frenzied collaborative dancing, or a kayaking-with-words adventure sound incredible to you?
If so, quirky and inventive events just like these will be popping up in unexpected placed around Miami in April for the O, Miami Poetry Festival, sponsored by the Knight Foundation.
For those of you who might prefer lounging around on a picnic blanket sipping rose while listening to the symphony while former US Poet Laureate Kay Ryan reads her work, O, Miami has you covered from 4pm April 12th at NWS Soundscape Park. And if you’ve always wanted to read your poems about chocolate, on the evening of Monday April 20th, you’ll have your chance at Le Chocolatier when local poets share their compositions and open it up to the audience for more.
