Thompson Hotels London X Rahel Weiss

Art & Design

This month we sent London-based fashion and travel photographer Rahel Weiss to London neighborhood Belgravia to see the sites. Armed with her camera she wandered from Belgraves to the neighborhood patisseries, delicatessens, boutiques, and of course, pubs. Follow her afternoon below.

  1. The Belgraves’ impressive façade and entrance with London’s Black Cabs parked outside, at the ready.
  2. Inside Belgraves you’ll find Pont St restaurant, their quiet corners are perfect for reading or caffeinating.
  3. The only civilized way to start the day
  4. With spring already in full swing, it’s time to start thinking about weekend picnics in the park, especially in a city like London. If you’re in need of delicious supplies then head to Poilane for the perfect loaf of rye or raisin bread and of course, pastries.
  5. A dangerously delicious apple danish at Poilane
  6. No picnic basket is complete without a bottle of bubbly, head to Jeroboams to pick up something special.
  7. Jump on a Santander bike and cycle over to Harvey Nichols for the most impressive window-shopping in town
  8. On Sloane Street all your fashion friends are waiting, just make sure you keep out of the way of the red buses
  9. The Thomas Cubitt has British pub grub at it’s absolute finest. Stop by for lunch in the beautiful dinning room or grab a spot at the downstairs bar and you might just stay on for a whole afternoon of people watching.
  10. If you’re in the mood for something a little more wholesome, head over to L’Eto (but then get a slice of their decadent cakes and desserts afterwards).
  11. And if you’re not in the mood for cake this must mean you’re in the mood for… gelato! Go to La Bottega on Pont Street for delicious flavors.
  12. Sometimes it pays off to get lost in the back streets of the city: While wandering back to the hotel, I came across these beautiful terrace mansions.
