Party like it’s prohibition
Join hipsters, history buffs, socialites and those in the know as they turn back time at the Jazz Age Lawn Party, New York City’s original prohibition era inspired gathering. The renowned event started as a small gathering of fifty friends and fans and now has grown so elaborate and elegant that Bill Cunningham wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Don your flapper garb and fedoras and channel your favorite Fitzgerald and Hemingway character and head to Governors Island where you can Charleston to Michael Arenella and His Dreamland Orchestra playing all jazz staples. The event is held on two weekends—the first is on June 13th and 14th, and the second is on August 15th and 16th.
