Transport yourself to her Mexican home and garden
There’s something special happening at The New York Botanical Gardens right now. Art aficionados and Frida Kahlo fans will get the opportunity to stand amidst the famed artist’s succulents and giant cacti as if they were visiting the Casa Azul (Blue House), Kahlo’s lifelong home in Mexico.
The unique and unprecedented exhibition Frida Kahlo-Art-Garden-Life will include a rare display of more than a dozen original Kahlo paintings and works on paper and a scale version of the artist’s pyramid—created to display pre-Hispanic art collected by her husband, muralist Diego Rivera.
Check out one of the many special ticketed evening musical performances that include complimentary Modelo Especial draft cerveza and Jose Cuervo Tradicional margaritas. Get your tickets and find out more about other events here.
