Where the Locals Skate
Everyone thinks of Central Park when they picture ice skating in Manhattan, but we have the locals’ under-the-radar alternative right here—elegant Bryant Park’s Winter Village.
Get your skates on at Bryant Park’s 17,000-square-foot free outdoor rink until March 6th. After your time on the ice, warm up at spacious rink-side restaurant Celsius. If you want to practice your lutzes and axels with ample spinning room, try visiting during off-peak hours.
Bonus: Bryant Park’s Winter Village is New York City’s only free admission rink. (Note that if you don’t have your won skates, you will have to rent them.)
