Whiskey or Beer? Why not both?
March in Chicago is all about coming out of winter hibernation and nothing says I’m ready for spring like gathering friends and embracing the opportunity to taste more than 350 whiskies from around the world at the 17th Annual Whiskey Fest March 18th. There’ll be free seminars conducted by whiskey experts, a grand tasting, and an opportunity to talk to distillers from Scotland, Ireland, Tennessee, Japan, and Canada. A few words of warning: Pace yourself! Get your tickets here.
If beer is your drink of choice, you can taste brews from local and national breweries at the Chicago Beer Festival when it takes over the Field Museum on March 26th, from 7pm to 11pm. The event will feature over 70 breweries, sampling their spring seasonal beers, plus music, food, and a select number of the museum’s exhibits open to attendees. Admission includes beer samplings with food sold separately. Tickets will not be sold at the door, so get them here now.
