A Downtown Seattle Neighborhood Photo Tour
Enter the visually stunning world of local Seattle photographer, Julia Manchek. Julia captures the everyday with elegant simplicity, and her recent tours of Europe, the California Coast, and Mount Rainier documented on her wanderlust-inducing Instagram made her an obvious choice to act as our local Seattle tour guide.
In celebration of our newest hotel, Thompson Seattle, we commissioned Julia to take us on a photo tour of the hotel’s new home: right in the center of downtown Seattle. And when we say right in the center, we mean it: the hotel is just steps away from the world-famous Pike Place Market–which, especially this time of year, is bursting with fresh produce, local seafood, and perhaps most importantly, those show-stopping peonies.
Take a scroll through Julia’s photo tour as she guides us expertly through Pike Place past champagne mangoes and red velvet apricots (seriously), along to Post Alley (home of the “gum wall”), and to one of the best vantage points of the city’s skyline along Elliott Bay.
Want more of Julia’s photography? Julia also curates a travel journal blog with her husband, Yuriy, chronicling their gorgeous adventures around the world. Swoon.
