No Body Suits Required at Tour de Fat
Whether or not you ride a bike during the Tour de Fat, the day will provide excellent beer, music, and people watching. On July 9th in Palmer Square, New Belgium Beer will organize a 1,000-person dance contest, a Slow Ride competition, a Dr. Dog concert (!), and a car-for-bike swap. You can feel good about participating too—Tour de Fat increases awareness and participation in cycling as a sustainable form of transportation.
Tour de Fat is free to enter. The crew has set up a kids’ area with a jungle gym, bikes, and games, though they warn that some Tour de Fat participants might be wearing “costumes that spark a conversation or two with an inquisitive little one.”
