Dreamland Offers Rides and More
Considered the oldest-surviving amusement park in Great Britain, Dreamland in Margate, Kent has a storied past: its site dates back to the 1860s, and the park once comprised 16 acres with a zoo, miniature railway, and 2200 seat cinema. Despite an outside attempt to close the park in 2003, Dreamland continues to provide entertainment and thrills.
Dreamland is the perfect escape from the city. Just a train ride away from London, the 1920s-era amusement park now offers opportunities to ride a ferris wheel, enjoy afternoon tea, and skate around the roller disco.
