Spend a Day at the Orchard
Apples have adopted myriad connotations over the years. They’ve alternately signified knowledge, desire, cutting-edge technology, and more. They’ve inspired more idioms than we can count (“an apple a day,” “one bad apple,” and mroe etc.), plus a DKNY perfume. Clearly, there’s something a little magical about the fruit. This autumn, why not visit an orchard and pick a bunch for yourself?
Just an hour’s drive from Chicago, County Line Orchard gives you the opportunity to do just that. The 40 acres of land are sure to provide good bounty. Plus, you can also wander through a corn maze, listen to music during the weekend barnyard jams, and make your own s’mores over a campfire.
The orchard season extends until October 30th. U-Pick is open from 9:00am – 5:00pm daily. Find more details here.
