A Dairy Fun Celebration
The onset of Chicago’s winter calls for some serious comfort food. After Halloween candy but before Thanksgiving turkey, macaroni and cheese will rule the city. Celebrate the dish at Chicago’s 3rd annual Mac & Cheese Fest on November 5th. Chefs from around the city prepare their unique versions of the dish. The best wins the Golden Noodle Award. This year’s varieties include andouille lobster, blueberry mascarpone, chicken tinga, Szechuan, and more. Check out the full list of participating restaurants and what they’re serving here.
Sample the options along with the beer, wine, and spirits available with your ticket purchase. All proceeds go to charity. The “Cheese” character on the festival website might say it best: “We are there for the bad breakups, lousy days or even just because it’s cold out. We know how to be luxurious too…dress me with brie and figs and I can get fancy.”
The festival takes place at 725 W Roosevelt Road. Lunch is served from 12:00-3:00pm, dinner from 6:00-9:00pm.
