Immerse in Seattle Art This Month
Seattle is a city known for its laid-back and approachable arts and culture scene–and come February, it’s about to get even more accessible. From February 1-28th, the Emerald City and Visit Seattle welcome Seattle Museum Month, and that means hotel guests at Thompson Seattle receive half-price admission at more than 40 participating museums throughout Seattle and the region.
Exhibits include everything from a Star Trek feature at the MoPOP to the history of beer, wine, and coffee at the Washington State History Museum. One of our recommended afternoon itineraries? Brunch at Scout PNW followed by a visit to the Edible City: A Delicious Journey exhibit at the Museum of History & Industry for an immersive day of culinary exploration. Or if you’re looking to spend some time in and with the great outdoors, head to the Seattle Art Museum for Seeing Nature: Landscape Masterworks from the Paul G. Allen Family Collection, with a visit to the nearby Olympic Sculpture Park.
Bottom line? Whether you’re a local or visitor, an artsy type or a history buff, there’s something for everyone on offer. Looking to book accommodations in downtown Seattle? Thompson Seattle has you covered with their special package, including an artful welcome amenity by Pastry Chef, Kate Sigel, and half-price admission at all participating museums.
