Scout: where food and tattoo art meet for the night.
On March 7th, Executive Chef Derek Simcik is partnering with notable Seattle tattoo artists to design an interactive multi-course experience that will lead guests on a culinary journey through the life of a tattoo artist. So what does that look like exactly? First, guests have the option to get their own tattoos done at a pop-up tattoo shop at Thompson Seattle with local artists Amanda Riner, Tascar Wise, Kenny Brown, and Derek Noble. Then, they’ll be whisked downstairs to the hotel’s restaurant, Scout PNW, for a multi-course tasting menu with dishes by the names of “Ink” and “Paper” featuring seasonal, well-sourced ingredients including meat that’s been tattooed with squid ink.
Even if you’d rather forego the tattoo, you can still join for the dinner alone – and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to adoptthearts.org in support of the arts. More information and reservations here.
