A Hue-tiful Experience
There is a store in Seattle that sells only purple items. It’s called… The Purple Store. Want lavender socks? Huckleberry candy canes? This is your spot. The city seems to have a certain need for the hue: the Purple Store started in 2004 and has been coloring the community ever since.
Visit the website beforehand for some fun purple facts. Here’s our favorite: “Because purple dye was so difficult to obtain and expensive to produce, purple became the royal color in many parts of the world and is traditionally associated with royalty, power, and wealth.” Just one more good reason to pick up some purple sunglasses—they’ll mark you rich and influential.
