A Distilled Experience
Visit Chicago’s first brandy-focused distillery, Rhine Hall. Opened by father-daughter team Charlie and Jenny Solberg, the venue is open for tours, tastings, and cocktails. In the seasonal tasting room, sample cocktails made from apple, mango, plum brandies along with light bites such as salumi, nuts, and crackers. According to Saveur Magazine, the drink is on the rise (and they’re really big fans of Rhine Hall’s the apple brandy—they suggest pairing it with citrus or St. Germain as the weather warms). Looking for a spot to host a big, boozy party? Rhine Hall rents out its sleek, airy space as well.
On April 21, attend the distillery’s workshop to learn how to make shrubs, syrups, and bitters. Make the experience, even more fun by purchasing a flight or cocktails during the event.
