Not Your Neighbor’s Garage Sale

One of the best ways to make cool, unique purchases? Buy vintage. CHIRP Record Fair & Vintage Garage is the place to be for hipsters with predilections sartorial and musical. On April 8th, records, jewelry, knick knacks, and furniture will flood Plumber’s Hall in the West Loop. Get your Midcentury modern fix fulfilled. From Vicker Vintage Chicago to Shytowngirl Vintage, the vendors will be on hand to mix, mingle, and nerd out about things like… old chairs. While Vintage Garage is the city’s only all vintage monthly market (so you can visit another time if you can’t make it this April), their one-time collaboration with CHIRP makes this month the perfect time to visit and track down all the best finds in one place.

CHIRP (Chicago Independent Radio Project) offers great listening year round. Their schedule includes a Girl Power Hour every Tuesday from 8–9am to get you out of bed and more than ready to face the day. On Thursday evenings from 6–8pm, listen to Tyler Clark host Local Mythologies and offer you classic power pop and obscure lounge tracks.
