A Wild Ride
American road trip films never get old. Whether the adventure centers on female friendship (Thelma & Louise), family dysfunction (Pieces of April), or drug use (On the Road, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas), the stories always feature fabulous shots of the country and colorful, compelling characters. To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar throws in some other unique elements—billed as a drag queen comedy, the film features some serious eye candy too. The promise of screen time with Patrick Swayze (RIP) and Wesley Snipes may be enough to motivate a trip to the theater.
