Passion Pit, Pop-Ups, Park
Question: Is it finally time for one of the country’s best food festivals? Find answer here. July 4th is nothing compared to the celebration that’s about to hit Grant Park. From July 5th to 9th, The Taste of Chicago responds to all of your culinary prayers and brings the city’s best food to one place. Since 1980, the tradition has fueled even the city’s pickiest eaters, and this year will be no different. Five days of restaurants, pop-ups, food trucks, and beverage tables will comprise the vendor portion of the affair. A phenomenal accompanying music lineup includes Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals and Passion Pit. Jam out after gorging on empanadas from Beat Kitchen, cheeseburgers from the famous Billy Goat Tavern & Grill, churros from Churro Factory, avocado toast from Farmer’s Fridge… We could go on. And on. And on. But this food needs to be eaten to be believed.
Public service announcement: the Puffs of Doom pop-up is bringing salted caramel chocolate puffs and bacon ranch mac & cheese savory puffs to the park. Do not miss.
