The Bluebird Cafe’s quaint name belies its status as one of Nashville’s most powerful music venues. Once the television show, Nashville, featured the location, crowds really started to build. Opened in 1982, the club brands itself as a songwriters’ mecca. Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney have both auditioned for performance spots, and Garth Brooks received his first record deal after appearing here. Go see (and hear!) for yourself—The Bluebird Cafe hosts two shows every night. Plus, the venue invites songwriters to play every Sunday evening, and Mondays are designated as open mics.
On July 22nd, hear Grammy-nominated James T. Slater perform. On the 18th, come out to hear Don Schlitz, who will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in October.
