Enjoy hot days with cold drinks at two of Toronto’s best outdoor drinking spaces. Rorschach Brewing Company turned a 100-year-old mansion into a brewpub with as many as 18 beers on tap at a time. The drink names add to the fun. Right now, you can enjoy “latent construct,” a coffee oatmeal stout and a pilsner called “normopathy.” A special rooftop patio, overlooking the trees and lawn, offers an urban oasis and an ideal vantage from which to try a new brew. Standard bar fare such as potato croquettes, calamari, and aioli fries add some saltiness and provide perfect pairings.
The patio at Bar Reyna is so picturesque that Now Toronto Magazine photographed it for its cover. Slatted wood with painted white patterns and hanging lightbulbs give the space a whimsical, enchanted feel. White chairs and wooden tables match nicely, the perfect spots to enjoy bespoke cocktails (with great names, too: “Queen Bey’s Lemonade,” “King Arthur’s Concubine,” and “Immaculate Conception,” to name a few), and Middle Eastern bites.
