Lincoln Center Gets Lively
Take full advantage of late sunsets and dance your way through the dusk. Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing brings dance and silent disco to nearby Damrosch Park through July 15th. Novices are more than welcome: dance instructors are on hand if you’re naturally stuck with two left feet (or just need a few pointers on your moves!).
The week of July 4th, enjoy boogaloo with Joe Bataan, jazz with David Ostwald’s Louis Armstrong Eternity Band, and Latin sounds with Isaac Delgado Orchestra. If you prefer honky tonk or ballroom dancing, check out the next week’s schedule. On July 8, a silent disco at 10PM encourages dancers to boogie late into the night.
Need a little liquid courage before heading to the dance floor? Come early and buy a drink at one of the summer bars. Food trucks are nearby—because all those steps can certainly work up an appetite.
