Jewelry, Perfume, Kites, and More
We love a good craft fair. Meeting local artisans, spotting a treasure among the tents, and finishing off the day with some drinks are all perfect end-of-summer pleasures. On August 12th and 13th, the Coupeville Arts & Crafts Festival brings local artisans to the historic town. This year, vendors include a kite company, a pottery purveyor, a jam shop, leather and jewelry experts, and many more.
Established in 1964, the fair remains one of the state’s oldest, continuously run festivals. In the food court, you’ll find traditional festival fare such as barbecue, hotdogs, ice cream, and kettle corn in addition to international delicacies from samosas to lumpia to crepes. A scenic wine and beer garden overlooks Penn Cove, next to the city’s wharf. Throughout both days, local bands will serenade shoppers.
