Show your state pride at the Tennessee State Fair. Taste the state’s best homemade apple pie, enjoy a variety of rides, and listen to local musicians. If you’re the competitive type, participate in the karaoke, ice cream eating, or hula hoop contests. Listen to the bluegrass and fiddler jamboree and try your arm at cornhole, where a first place tournament win will earn you $300. Our advice: eat the funnel cake after, not before, getting on the Tilt-a-Whirl.
