A Night Walk To Remember

Halloween can be about so much more than just candy. To experience one of Chicago’s wackiest, most creative parades, head to Arts in the Dark on October 21st. From 6–8PM, the streets will fill with lanterns, costumes, music, dance, and additional performances. Watch out for Alice in Wonderland-themed disguises, participants in medieval-style armor, and theater professionals dressed in garb to resemble Broadway characters. Try to spot the eight “illuminates” leading the parade (they include influential creative leaders in the city). Beforehand, the Chicago Blackhawks ice hockey team will host a celebration at Buckingham Fountain with music and prizes. Not ready to call it quits after the parade? Head to the afterparty, House Dance Park at the Bean.
