Boystown Beer and More

Eating Around

A Neighborhood with Pride

Chill out with friends, booze, and a rainbow light show at Frost Fest from February 24th to 25th. The fourth annual craft beer festival ushers in a hip, thirsty crowd. Sample brews and liquors from Chicago (Half Acre, Maplewood, Pipeworks) and beyond (Indiana’s Three Floyd’s Brewing, Michigan’s Virtue Cider). Honestly, we’re just waiting to see what people come up with for the ice sculpture carving contest.

The tent is located in Boystown, the first officially recognized gay village in the United States. After a few drinks, celebrate the neighborhood’s pride and passion by visiting Roscoe’s, which dates back to 1987. The dance floor and pool table will keep you busy all night. Just go easy on their pitchers of purple punch. Nookies is another neighborhood favorite. Open since 1973, the BYOB 24-hour weekend restaurant is a perfect final stop for your evening.
