A Marvel-ous Event
Black Panther’s box office success has re-energized comic book fanatics who love to see their favorite stories play out on the big screen. The film, currently the #1 movie in the world, just became the third highest grossing Marvel Cinematic Universe release of all-time domestically. The flick proves that superhero tales can be diverse, political, and profitable all at once. If you’re a fan, you have plenty to look forward to this year: another Avengers installment, Deadpool 2, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Aquaman are all slated to arrive in theaters before 2019.
In the meantime, satisfy your craving for characters, superpowers, and adventures right in the middle of Toronto. From March 16th to March 18th, check out over 400 exhibitors at Toronto Comicon. The three-day event will feature cosplay, opportunities to watch emerging comic book artists work, and venues to purchase rare goods. A ’90s video dance party and autographs from Chewbacca actor Joonas Viljami Suotamo await.
