Take a Hike
For stunning views, hike to one of Cabo San Lucas’ best vantage points. With its dusty, craggy peaks; cactus growths; and sharp drop-offs, Mount Solmar (just inland from the Arch of Cabo San Lucas) is a perfect place to take a new look at your wild surroundings. The hike is moderately difficult, so bring some climbing shoes and sunscreen, and get ready to sweat a bit. At the top, you’ll find a white cross fixed among some rocks. Snap a picture here, against the backdrop of the cerulean ocean. You should be able to make out the Sea of Cortez, Lover’s and Divorce Beaches, and rolling waves. We hear it can be a bit tricky to find your way to the base—if you’re uncertain about where to go, or how to climb, ask a trusted guide.
