Get reel comfy
Make the most of the warm weather, pack a picnic, and join city dwellers as they pour into the parks at sunset. The Toronto Outdoor Picture Show grew out of the success of the Christie Pits Film Festival (running since 2011). As well as Christie Pits, TOPS now take over Corktown Common Park and Parkway Forest Park, screening free movies every Sunday and Thursday night in throughout the summer.
But the movie-going fun doesn’t end there—other parks and organizations have been similarly inspired! You can catch free movies practically every night in July from rockumentary Tuesdays at Yonge-Dundas Square to family-friendly Wednesday nights in Regents Park.
