Something for Everyone at this Epic Festival
Named after a slang-term for “umbrella,” Bumbershoot is Seattle’s longest-running music and arts festival. In 2018, it’s back and bigger than ever: from Young Thug to Fleet Foxes to Blondie, there really is something for everyone.
Bumbershoot is one of the largest festivals in the country, but what distinguishes it from many other festivals of its size is an equally high commitment to comedy as music. The very funny Kate Willett (whose Netflix special just dropped) headlines all three nights.
Art is more than an after-thought: it’s an important part of the festival experience. This year catch new work in neon by Dylan Neuwirth, look out for interactive art machines throughout the festival, and don’t miss grunge champions, Sub Pop Records, hosting an on-site art installation and immersive experience.
Bumbershoot runs August 31st-September 2nd. Grab passes here.
