Toronto Gets Festive
While European-style Christmas markets now make regular appearances in North American cities, Toronto has truly made the tradition its own. Toronto Christmas Market takes over the entire Distillery District from November 16th to 23rd, recreating the romance and magic of traditional markets and elevating the experience with thoughtfully curated details and style.
Alongside carols, street food, and mulled wine, the lights are part of this spectacle so, although the market is open during the day, try and get there after dark. You’ll see the 50-foot Christmas tree and the 100-foot light tunnel sparkle in full glory.
The entrance fee ensures that foot traffic is regulated so, whenever you visit, you can enjoy the atmosphere without jostling with huge crowds. And with heated beer gardens, you don’t have to worry about the frigid temps outside.
The market runs November 15th to December 23rd, Tuesday through Sunday.
