Edifying, Cultural, and Very Chicagoan
Creative Minds Talk brings together inspirational speakers for an evening of unrehearsed conversation. Among the entrepreneurs, musicians, architects, and sports stars who participated in the program last year were Serena Williams, who chatted with rapper and actor (and her ex-boyfriend) Common. The resulting conversation—which covered everything from faith to mass incarceration to parenting—was an illuminating insight into the minds of two creative people at the top of their game.
The latest in the Creative Minds Talk series brings together Chance the Rapper and opera singer Renée Fleming to discuss the art of storytelling. By the age of 22, Chicago-native Chance had won three Grammys, appeared on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list of influential people, and delivered a lecture at Harvard. Renée Fleming has been hailed as one of the best living soprano in the world. Whatever they have to say about storytelling, we want to hear it.
Lyric Opera of Chicago, January 12th.
