Subterranean Fun

Chicago’s vast pedestrian subway system comes in handy when you want to get from one section of the Loop to another without braving the cold. Sheltered from the weather outside, the pedway is also built separately from the grid system of Chicago’s city streets. And while you’re almost guaranteed to get lost, there is no better way to inadvertently discover new parts of downtown.

That’s the premise for The Pedway Scavenger Hunt on February 9th, a fun (and warm) way to spend a Saturday morning. Follow clues from one place to another and you’ll see a side of downtown that even seasoned Chicagoans aren’t familiar with. There’s a prize for whichever team finishes first—and mimosas for anyone who wants them. It’s a fun way to work up an appetite for brunch.
