The Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events has designated 2019 the Year of Chicago Theater, so you should probably see a play while you’re in town. For the month of March, several top productions play Chi-town as part of the “Broadway in Chicago” series. Here’s what you should try not to miss.

After its 2017 debut, A Doll’s House Part 2 received 8 Tony Award nominations and is running at the Steppenwolf Theater until March 17th.

Dear Evan Hansen and Hamilton are among the best musicals showing, boasting 17 Tony wins and a further six nominations between them. You can catch Dear Evan Hansen until March 10, while Hamilton is stationed in Chicago until July.

Although the play was written in 1912, the U.K.’s National Theater landmark production of An Inspector Calls has been described as the theater event of a generation. Winner of 19 major awards, the play runs until March 10th.
