Mexico’s Biggest Celebration

Fiesta Time

Forget Cinco de Mayo, the real parties in Mexico happen each year for Independence Day. Marking Mexico’s victory over the French, la Dia del Independencia is celebrated each year on September 15th and 16th. Expect a colorful parade, mariachi bands, and a fiesta.

The park in front of City Hall (between 8th St. and 10th St. and 15th Ave. and 25th Ave.) is the site of the official Independence Day festival in Playa. Track down chiles en nogada, a poblano pepper stuffed with walnut cream and pomegranate arils, a popular celebration dish boasting all three colors of the Mexican flag.

We’ll be celebrating on our roof, by the pool, with an unparalleled view of the ocean. We invite you to stay with us this September and enjoy the fiesta.
